Divvy is Chicago’s bike sharing system of 3,000 bikes and 300 stations across the city. Currently, we are hiring staff to assist in expanding our system to 4,750 bikes and 475 stations. Overview of Position:
Divvy is seeking experienced Bike Mechanics to help with all aspects of bicycle assembly, maintenance, and repair. Training on technical and unique aspects of Bike Share bikes will be provided. You’ll be a part of a team that focuses on a bicycle transportation system with emphasis on building strong client and sponsor relationships while exceeding the highest standards for service. During peak season, additional responsibilities may include driving a large van for bicycle pick up and performing bicycle valet duties.
This is a part time position. Qualified candidates may apply for regular full-time positions as they become available.
Key Aspects of Position:
Complete bicycle repairs in a professional and timely manner, both in the field and in the warehouse as required.
Set a schedule and report for work as assigned.
Respond to requests from your manager(s).
Assist in maintaining an OSHA compliant workplace.
Ensure that all necessary reporting is accurate, complete and timely.
Work under the guidance of the Bicycle Service Department Manager.
May serve as a bicycle valet as needed for special events. Bicycle valet responsibilities include keeping bikes organized and secured when surplus of bicycles must be corralled near stations.
May be required to drive a large van as a bicycle department service driver.

Required Skills and Experience:
Two years minimum experience in professional bicycle repair.
Excellent organizational skills.

Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record if needed for bike department service driving.
This position may require bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
FULL-TIME/PART-TIME Part time
SALARY $12-$14 per hour, commensurate with experience
